K.C. Raney, LCSW-S, GC-C, CT, CGP

Kirstin “K.C.” Raney has been a licensed clinical social worker for over 20 years. She received her Masters in Social Work from Tulane University in 2002. She obtained her board approved supervisor status in 2011 issued by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners. She is a Certified Grief Counselor (GC-C), Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP) and holds a Certification in Thanatology (CT). Her background includes clinical supervision, student teaching, hospice/palliative care, mental health inpatient and outpatient care, group psychotherapy, grief therapy, substance use disorders, program development and consultation. She currently works in private practice.

K.C. utilizes a fresh approach to supervision and consultation that is highly individual and dynamic. She believes that the supervision experience is a meaningful exchange of information that encourages transformation in both professional development and practice. She draws on psychodynamic, attachment, cognitive-behavioral, relational and developmental models in her practice. She is known for her open, engaging, supportive, and dedicated practice while being attuned to the unique learning style of the supervisee. She provides supervision to social workers who are seeking their LCSW with the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners and consultation to professional social workers. K.C. operates from her home office in Houston, Texas.
